About Woodsy Floral
Woodsy Floral was founded by accident believe it or not. Flowers have always been a part of my husband and I’s marriage. Every Friday or every other Friday my husband, Lonnie would go get fresh stems from the floral shop down the road from our house. The first time he went in and asked for not an arrangement but just random flower stems, they looked at him a little funny, but they gave it to him. Time after time he would go in and grab a couple of this and a couple of these and a little greenery. Whatever Lonnie thought would look good together. Well then, he would bring me home these stems and I would make arrangements. I would put a little here and a little there and our house would be filled with flowers. Which to me brought such joy to our little home.This turned into me making arrangements for our events, we hosted a baby shower and of course, had to have floral arrangements for it. When some of our friends saw these floral arrangements, they asked if we could make more for their events. We had one friend that owns a wedding venue, she brought up becoming a vendor for her brides. I thought this idea was crazy, I mean these arrangements were for me and I couldn’t see myself as a florist. I am just a girl that loves to make them. Well after a little bit of pressuring from Lonnie, we attended her open house as a floral vendor and LOVED IT. We have a busy life both were working full time, attending school, on top of being parents to two sweet kids. But we are following our dream and pursuing what makes us happy, which is bringing joy to others
